Parade Master Paul Fairbank organizes the more than 100 parade entries which march from the corner of Broad Street at Ragan Road. They travel down Broad Street, turn left on Hodges Street, left again on South Street, ending at the Croaker Festival site.
The lineup includes decorated floats, vintage cars, patriotic and service groups, girl scouts, boy scouts, fire engines, tractors, motorcycles, scooters, golf carts, music, the Miss Minnows, and of course the Croaker Queen and her court.
Prizes for the entrants are awarded by the Ladies of the Neuse, always for categories that are improptu and inventive.
We thank all of the folks who participate and help to make this such a grand parade truly befitting of Croaker Festival’s 40+ year history!
